Bronwyn Lewis, Artist
I am a Melbourne-based sculptor creating expressive ceramic and bronze works that explore the emotional connection between humans and animals.
My work has been exhibited and collected throughout Australia, including through McClelland Sculpture Gallery, Sculpture Bermagui, Toorak Sculpture, the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show and the Urunga Small Sculpture Prize.
Alongside my sculpture practice, I have also been running creative art parties and workshops for children across Bayside for over a decade.
My work explores the connection and interplay of ‘animal emotion’ that exists within animals and humans.
The sculptures act as metaphors or mirrors of our human experience.
The creatures may be quirky, powerful, tragic, endearing, humorous and loveable.
